How I love little ones! Their beautiful toes, delicate coos, soft sweet skin and, in this case, full heads of hair! This tiny and very fresh newborn made my job incredibly easy. On one hand, his ease and deep sleep made photographing him a breeze, but on the other hand it also meant minimal baby snuggles for me. But Beautiful Baby W and I still had time for introductions so that we could get a head start getting to know one another before our six-month session together in March of 2010! I always find it a little funny how parents thank me for my patience with their little ones. The patience is purely selfish. The success of bouncing, rocking, and walking a beautiful baby into a perfectly sound photographic slumber is something I take great pride and care in… so it’s more of a treat than part of the job! I prefer the thank yous to roll in the opposite direction, from me to parents, thanking them for inviting me to share the joy of such fresh new life and wonderful beginnings for their family.
So to the parents of Beautiful Baby W- no, no, thank you.
