The Black Families

When a long-time friend- and now a great client- called and asked me to photograph her family and her sister-in-law’s visiting family, I was all for it! Two beautiful babies, two dads without a serious bone in their bodies and two gorgeous mommy’s made for an excellent photo session and get together. We started by photographing two naked babies (one five months and the other two months) in my studio, and then ventured outside to some special locations in and around Yellowknife. We made sure to capture each small family and, of course, both families together. It was certainly fun though- to capture two families in the same locations at the same time, but each with their own unique twist. Why you might ask? Well, it’s important to let everyone’s personalities shine in photographs, but equally important for grandparents to be able to showcase these images side-by-side and coordinated!

Thank you to all six of you for a great evening! Baby L and, well, Baby L are both absolutely beautiful- I can’t wait for our next session together!

I love how both babies are always looking at the camera, when awake that is, and with eyes that color, black and whites just won’t do, you did an awesome job again of capturing the love and happiness of both sets of parents. Job well done. I also love the colors of the backdrops that you use.
