Shannon & Wyatt

A little pressure is usually a good thing. I enjoy the pressure of exploring new ideas and locations for each photo session I get to do. I feel that a certain amount of pressure to keep exploring makes sure I stay fresh and on my feet. But this session had some serious added pressure. Halifax native and fellow photographer, Shannon George and her handsome husband Wyatt are expecting their first beautiful baby. It all sounds very exciting, until faced with the realization that you are photographing a photographer with an extensive sought-after client list and twice the experience!

But, it turned out to be the session I never wanted to end! We chatted about work, family, family-to-be, and, of course, photography. In the beginning Shannon and I each took turns with nervous giggles, mine were because I was photographing her- an experienced ‘southern’ photographer and hers, well, how often does a photographer get photographed?!

But by the end, it was all calm laughter. The kind you have with old friends, and all thanks to Wyatt, who is built predominantly from funny bones.

Thank you Wyatt for all of the laughs. And thank you Shannon for turning up the pressure with the opportunity to photograph such a talented photographer. All the best over the next few weeks to you both, and I look forward to meeting your new addition!

WOW Caitlin!!! Thank you SO much for such a beautiful shoot!! We were such goof balls I wasn’t sure if we gave you much to work with!! Wyatt with the watermelon is just hilarious!! I love the merry-go-round – very metaphorical given the crazy ride we’re about to step onto! Just over 4 weeks to go!
