Normally I focus on getting some natural giggles from my wedding party. But at my very cool destination wedding in Las Vegas, it was the bride, groom and wedding party that had me laughing! What a great group of people to spend the week with in fabulous Las Vegas and a wonderful couple to share such a special adventure with. I spent hours looking for the perfect locations to capture their Vegas wedding. I wanted them to end up with a collection of wedding photographs nothing short of phenomenal and that met all of their expectations. At the end of my search I had four pages of notes filled with locations where I wanted to photograph the wedding party and just bride and groom. But, let’s face it, it’s quicker to drive across Yellowknife than it is to cross a street in Vegas or walk through one casino to get to another. So at the suggestion of the cool as a cucumber groom, we focused on enjoying a few locations closer to the MGM Grand to allow for more time together as a group. I will admit that I was nervous about not giving them the same selection of images that my Yellowknife wedding parties end up with, but by using some last minute locations like elevators, benches and well placed trees, we ended up capturing how gorgeous they are and how happy they make one another! So in the end we ended up with as many photos- and maybe even a few “illegal” ones! (When someone other than my bride and groom tells me not to photograph a part of their special day- that is important to my bride and groom- I may have selective hearing…)
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful chapter of your lives with me, and thank you for bringing me all the way to Las Vegas to do so! I had an incredible time and wish you both nothing but happiness in your future together.
