Gina & Kyle

Have you ever seen every, EVERY, wedding guest up and dancing at once? Have you ever seen gramma sing along to MJ’s Billie Jean? Or, have you ever seen someone do the worm across the dance floor in a skirt- successfully? I can now say that, yes, I have. What an incredible ending to an absolutely phenomenal day.

I met this couple last year when we met to discuss their wedding day photography. It seemed as though it was more a test of character than a business arrangement. We discussed life, growing up in the North and where we were in our lives on that particular day. We touched lightly on business and then met for an Engagement Session. From there, everything seemed to fall wonderfully into place. The session was calm and comfortable. Both Gina and Kyle were very easy to photograph. Gina’s vibrant personality and Kyle’s obvious affection for his bride-to-be was a joy to capture- but their engagement session certainly didn’t prepare me for their wedding day!

As Gina walked down the aisle, you could feel the raw emotion in the room. One look at Kyle’s face as he caught sight of his bride for the first time would melt anyone’s heart and remind them how special true love really is. After the time we spent together, both before and during their wedding day, I feel as though I have known them for a lifetime. With the stories their friends and family told throughout the day and the respect they have for one another, it was impossible not to become emotionally connected to this wonderful bride and groom. I still get teary eyed thinking of the ceremony and will regard my time with this bride and groom as a very special experience for years to come.

Gina and Kyle, it was a pleasure getting to know two amazing people and I am honoured to have been invited to take part of the beginning of your new incredible journey. I wish you both the very best and look forward to spending more time with you in the future. Thank you for being game for some fun experiments- I hope you enjoy the results! Have a wonderful time on your Hawaiian Honeymoon!
